Read and learn, maybe you will also grow... maybe...

mahavirjag on Thursday, November 05, 2009
You are absolutely right . there is no dearth of ignorance in this world . try presenting a Dalia or for that matter a cocoon to your seeetheart and then a Rose .. your limit of the SKY will also widen . to enjoy a Ghazal it is better to be a Frog rather than a Superman, it is an individuals choice.

samyabad on Sunday, November 22, 2009
Urdu is undoubtedly nice, but how can you say that " it is the best". Every
language has its own beauty and unique expressions. So comparison is
futile. However you are free to think in your own way.

onlymullika on Monday, November 23, 2009
Madan Sinha has clicked some beautiful pictures of Madhubala ,teh tune is lovely an dso are teh words, but my brother sings it better than Farida Khanum.

nandu1f on Saturday, December 19, 2009
You are absolutely right. People have overdone this Urdu bit. Many are
afraid to speak up because the motivated at once start hollering in narrow
world view. If you know a language, you can appreciate its charm and
sublety, if it has long poetical tradition as most Indian languages do.
They are not any less than Urdu. If you don't, it might as well be Swahili.
If you half understand it, just because you hear many Persian words,
sounding exotic but does not make it any better poetry.

arvindpradhan on Tuesday, January 05, 2010
Most people who call urdu the best language in the world because they do
not any other language. Go listen to a Chinese singer called Teresa Teng.
She is as good as any urdu singer.

arvindpradhan on Tuesday, January 05, 2010
Do you know any other languages? Have you listened to any Chinese singers?
Probably not. And by the way, didi you notice Faridaji went off-taal at
2.33?

shifahaidry on Monday, January 25, 2010
Why do I always feel that Indians have this jealousy factor in them. As a nation they really need to grow up. As you can see here someone expressed his.her opinion that Urdu is the best and Indians here are trying to prove no it is not.

shifahaidry on Monday, January 25, 2010
People need to tune their ears if they think Farida Jee went off key anywhere in this rendition. :D

Sonalee Biswal on Friday, January 29, 2010
@arvindpradhan i don't think she went off-taal at 2.33.

arvindpradhan on Saturday, January 30, 2010
Tumko apani kasam - apani does not end on theka. She stretches it a bit.

madhur pole on Thursday, February 04, 2010
I agree... music is more than just than technical stuff like taal and raag.
Appeal and emotions are more important in a ghazal and in this respect I
think Farida Khanum rules!! I just absolutely love the song and the casual
flair with which she has sung is so romantic!

akila2808 on Sunday, February 14, 2010
This is far more melodious n romantic than the Asha Bhonsle version

Chandra Deshpande on Monday, March 01, 2010
why need Madhubalas photos? Beauty is divine so the sur who it may belongs!

Chandra Deshpande on Monday, March 01, 2010
why there are photos of Madhubala for this video? The fact is that Beauty
and Sur are both divine. There is no bar or boundaries for such things.

helo12999 on Monday, March 08, 2010

Aaj jaane ki zid na karo Tonight, dont insist on leaving Yunhi pehlu mein
bethey raho Sit here close to me Haaye mar jaayein ge... I will die Hum to
lutt jaayein ge I will be lost Aisi baatein kiya na karo Don't say such
things Aaj jaane ki zid na karo Tonight, dont insist on leaving

Raj Hierodule on Sunday, April 11, 2010
Tumhi socho zara Just ponder for a second kyu'n na rokein tumhey Why
shouldn't I stop you? jaan jaati hai jab uth ke jaatey ho tum When my life
leaves every time you go tum ko apni qasam jaan-e-jaa'n I swear to you, my
love baat itni meri maan lo Listen to my one request Aaj jaane ki zid na
karo Tonight, dont insist on leaving

TheNetRoamer on Thursday, April 15, 2010
It is not merely singing it carries the emotions it needs to; minimal use
of music coupled with highly polished delivery has enhanced the impact of
Farida Khanum's rendition of this beautiful song. Kudos!

Vikas Arora on Friday, April 23, 2010

nowme1211 on Tuesday, September 28, 2010
@samyabad my dear friend u r right but urdu is not a language as
independent it has evolved from arabi farsi (persian) and hindi it is a
good bland of these four now on comparison it is the only laguage in the
world which has all the alfabets that a heuman can sound for example arabs
and russions cant pronouce t indians cant pronounce kh and take the word
ghazal they call it gazal and many more. the person speaking right urdu can
speak any laguage with true pronounciantion i think i clearified.

nowme1211 on Tuesday, September 28, 2010
fourth language is english i missed it

nowme1211 on Tuesday, September 28, 2010
