The word Maula in arabic is master, it has many meanings. One meaning of
"Master" is the creator which is reserved only for Allah. Another meaning
is "Protecting friend" or "Wali". Somebody who guides a person to Allah,
and intercedes with Allah on his behalf in forgiving his sins.
The Holy Prophet Muhammed S.A.S. declared "One who has me as his Maula has
Ali as his Maula"
Hazrat Ali R.A got this title "Maula" from this declaration and he is thus
the Wali of every momin(true believer).
Hazrat Ali R.A also recieved the inner knowledge, which is also called the
knowledge of mysticm(sufism) and he is also opener of Spiritual Sovergnity
is islaam.
Imam Mehdi A.S who is final Imam will come during the end of time and he
will be seal of Sprititual sovergnity.
Imam Mehdi will join Holy Jesus A.S in spreading truth during the end of
times. The Holy Prophet Muhammed S.A.S foretold the return of the previous
Prophet to him(Jesus A.S) during the end of times. Holy jesus being a
prophet will have higher status than Imam Mehdi A.S and he will preach the
last book of Allah which is the Holy Quraan.
