326BZ on Saturday, October 03, 2009
Actually you will not see Meena Kumari in this song because she died before
this song was filmed. You only see silhouette of a double.

shakilm01 on Sunday, October 04, 2009
such a simple tune, what a powerful impact .. the lyrics, the voice and the tune just blow you away ... compare this to modern disposable tunes .. no match!!!!

The season of romance is here...
O my heart please bring my love to me, where ever he is, in these special moments...
Do tell him that everything is young and fresh here, and i'm missing him badly...
The shades of dark clouds are biting my feelings and i fear death by the hands of this lonely monsoon...

vasim555 on Saturday, December 12, 2009
The shades of my locks pray this for him that where ever the sun goes, hope he never getz troubled by the intense sunlight...
Please come and let me make a shelter for you under my eye-lashes...
I'm wandering alone honey, and wish for some one to hold me in his arms, for how long some one can play with these lonesome feelings...

vasim555 on Saturday, December 12, 2009
Days have become cruel and nights are a killer...

vasim555 on Saturday, December 12, 2009
After 3:40, when the song transition happens, she's singing:

This night, this silence, these dreamy scenes... Are these dreamy views just fireflies or stars have fallen to earth? My eyes are dreamless and the whole world seems intoxicated!!!

i just wish they worked harder on making meena look more like she did in
the earlier years. The hard eyes brows and eyeliner did not soften and
youthnize her apperance like she had wished BUT nevertheless she is still
so very beautiful.

PakLovesIndia on Thursday, October 07, 2010
@BocaJuniors100 God bless him.

@shakilm01 Ghulam Mohammad saab ki kadar jitni honi chahiye utni shayad hui
nahin hai. Pakeezah ge gaanon ka muqabla shayad Mahal, Mamta aur Devdas
jaisi filmen hi kar sakti hai.

Love this movie and all the songs but this was my favorite song in this
movie. Something about the way it starts.so refreshing.

desiguy55 on Friday, January 14, 2011
@JayJei22 This film took 14 years to come to the screen. it started in
1958, shooting started in 1964, it stopped half finished, than started
again in 1969,. Meena kumari was very sick when she finished this film in
1972. she died two months after it's release. She projects much of her
troubles and sadness in this film.

India is such a big country with world's most beautiful landscapes. I dont know why today's Indians only know one such place in their country - Goa. Why Goa is so famous? Why not Darjeeling, Laddakh, Jammu, Shimla and so on. Perhaps Goa as a Christian home is attractive to westners so the Induan showbiz has a craze of it. Todays Bollywood films are hardly picturized in India concerning to outdoors scenes. Why the Indians are loosing their identity and originilaty?

Meena kumari - eternal lady with grace, only madhubala was above her...

Lata Jee & Meena is Great,,

storyteller69 on Sunday, April 03, 2011
@sunderpak It's very difficult to shoot in India now unless you do so on a
set where the landscapes are difficult to reproduce. A mob assembles as
soon as they know a shoot is going on. It becomes very difficult to control
them and get cooperation. Even when you can clear them from one vista,
someone or another will sneak into the view, which then renders the shoot
useless. Also political instability. Unfortunately, it's easier and cheaper
to shoot in Europe or Africa and pretend it's India.

विलक्षण गाना और मीना कुमारी का अभिनय मधुर संगीत जीवन में इसे आप बिना
गुनगुनाए रह नहीं पायेंगें।

This song is different from other Ghulam Mohammed songs because of superb
orchestra by Anthony Ghonsalves from Goa.

youthful self becasue they got the make up right. what do you think?

The season is amorous Oh heart, from somewhere n such conditions, find him
The season is amorous Oh heart, from somewhere In such conditions, find him
The season is amorous Tell him that the weather is youthful And that I am
thirsting The shadow of black clouds Is then attacking me I am afraid that
it will kill me What is the limit of rain? The season is amorous Wherever
the sun goes Sunlight does not hit you Come, calling you Is the shade of my
hair Come, I will make A tent of my eyelashes

parvati kuan yin on Monday, July 04, 2011
The season is amorous I am going around alone Someone take me in their arms
Until where can one Play with loneliness The days have become cruel Nights
have become murderous The season is amorous This night, this silence Are
they fireflies, or Are they fireflies, or Are they stars fallen upon the
earth Dreamless are my eyes Intoxicated is the world The season is amorous
Oh heart, from somewhere In such conditions, find him The season is amorous

cant people love old songs without criticizing new songs. I love this song
and still enjoy new songs.Every era has different sensibilities in music
and to show one thing superior you don't have to make other inferior. The
can coexist Come-on you cant go to a disc and dance on this song. Similarly
while sitting at home you want to hear song like this... Every song has its
place
