This song Writer is HASON RAJA and he as a Sylheti poet, mystic philosopher
and folk songs writer and composer from Sunamgonj, Sylhet, Bangladesh. This
is an popular traditional Bangladeshi/Bengali folk song sung by many
luminaries and folk artists for decades, Pratima Barua Pandey one of them,
and for this reason its popular in Assam as well. where the bengali and
assamese language similar.

You are from the special care unit in Ranchi. so easy to make that out

seduced10 on Monday, September 02, 2013
Wow man you are really miffed here.I think you are not aware of a very
basic kindergarten fact called "Spirit of Music". If you think the song is
appealing, you should go and search for the meaning..thats what good art
does, makes you think. Stop being a pseudo crusader and stop listening if u
r so keen on understanding the meaning of the song, but dont want to give
ur head a slight exercise.

Isha Priya Singh on Monday, September 02, 2013
Friend, I am sorry if I've upset you, my comment was directed at cokestudio
by the way. I do love this song and have been listening to it on loop, I
completely agree with what you said and some people have also been kind and
also replied to me with the meaning. But the thing is, songs from so many
different languages are being brought to us by Coke Studio, bengali, tamil,
rajasthani, bhojpuri, it's amazing! It wouldn't hurt them to go that extra
mile and give us lyrics with translation!

Isha Priya Singh on Monday, September 02, 2013
Just to tell you that I've been asking them to so do since season 1! Still
they have not done that, that's what upset me. It just makes the songs more
endearing if you can sing along and also know what you're singing.

Isha Priya Singh on Monday, September 02, 2013
Sometimes songs have particular contexts and stories attached to them, no
matter how much you try you can't find it on google, therefore it's better
if experts on the language do it and make your life easier. For a big big
name like Cokestudio is it so tough to do just this much.

This is Golparia song... by famous Later Padamshree Pratima Barua Pandey
(look for the beautiful song in youtube, unfortunately could not post the
URL) There are other flavors of this songs as well. I think at least still
youth is concerned about such music. I could not like the song but
appreciate the work as it has been done on fusing this song.

Are you forgetting that west bengal exists on the other side of the border?
This song is as much Indian Bengali as that of Bangladesh. Bengali
language, culture and music is not different - Remember Bangladesh got its
National Anthem from the other side as well?

kamonasish aayush Mazumdar on Tuesday, September 03, 2013
wikipedia(dot)org/wiki/Culture of Bengal wikipedia(dot)org/wiki/Culture of
West Bengal wikipedia(dot)org/wiki/Culture of Bangladesh Bengali culture is
shared on both sides of the border. Language, Music, Literature, Food
and/or culture as a whole is shared.also the location of the world most
populous/fertile delta in the world.

Beautiful music

labib8aug on Wednesday, September 04, 2013
Are you blind or deaf ? Did I write anything that really should offend you
? Headstrong like you who have less conscience with chauvinistic ego make
world difficult to live .. and, furthermore, When Tagore wrote the song
that time We were also part of the same country .. Our national anthem
belonged to one nation that time not particularly West Bengal .. I am just
joking (above) never mind I love people from Calcutta like my Beautiful
Bangladesh. Be careful writing on country's name though !!

If you cant sing bengali songs please dont Murder them madam...We
bengalis are proud of this song so before you do anything of this which
amount to an imbecile effort of yours to reproduce bengali songs in a
nonsensical setup, think twice whether you are eligible enough or not.
