Both of them did the best to the song. But kishores voice is more powerful
and dominates the song. Thats why i like his version more. Neverthless
rafis version is also very romantic and soothing.

tasveeeren on Friday, March 23, 2012
Kishore's version is too loud.

composition...look at the fantastic arrangement of this song...and rafi
saab ki choti choti harkatein gaane mai char chaand laga deti hain...it
adds so much of sweetness and romance to this song...GREAT COMPOSITION BY
RDB AND GREAT SINGING BY RAFI SAAB...we miss u all.

this is one of my favourite songs. Can any one pls give me the title of the song in which a father and a daughter is left alone and father is singing the song. mother's large pictures are there on the wall. this is the visual of the song. in one picture the mother has applied something on her palms and showing it, the daughter too does that and when father sees it he gets upset.

Thanks for liking and excellent recollection of a scene. I am just thinking
but could not yet recollect.

gaja377 on Saturday, April 21, 2012
Thanks for the reply, the song i'm looking for was heard in mid 90's . I watched it in MTv hits. it was popular as Dil kya kare with the nice visual

No need to have so much controversies - it is a matter of personal liking
and opinion. All these singers have ruled high in the Indian Movie World
and we are really blessed to have these geniuses.

dwhprofi on Sunday, April 29, 2012
No debates pl. Enjoy the song. This is my childhood fav. song. Kishore
version is sung in a different mood, easier to sing with not much of
classical touch..managed with yodeling.Any Rafi song is a delight for
listener who understand music, specially classical music.

melodiousmeh on Saturday, May 05, 2012

rumahale on Monday, May 21, 2012
Mr. Bhosley I am not interested in controversies. You can listen or not. No
one be it Kishore Kumar and Mohammad Rafi does not require certificates
from ordinary people like us. Because I like it, I have posted it - that is
all. Also, try to write English which is International Language.

npsgill on Monday, May 21, 2012
Ram ji I like ur comment as " great singers like of Rafi, Kishore, even
Mukesh do not require any certificate from us ". Even they are beyond
comparison amongst themselves!!!! They all stand tall and have millions of
listeners!!!

Well said, dear friend.

Rafi might be the king but it is confirmed that Kishore is God.

Hari Babu on Wednesday, May 23, 2012
There is no comparison with Rafi sahab. We can not expect any one come
close to him next 7 generations.

1705vikram on Wednesday, June 27, 2012
Manna Dey was so right when he said in one of his recent interviews that nobody ever even came close to Rafi sahab as far as playback singing is concerned. Kishore da was a genius who did lots of things, but when it comes to singing,Rafi sahab was just beyond comparision.
In this song, Rafi sahab has added so many variations in terms of his own take on some words, whereas Kishore da's version sounds flat.

bandaal1 on Wednesday, June 27, 2012
Part 1 Thanks for your comment. Rafi was a good singer no doubt about it
but it is true that Kishore beated Rafi in his life time. I am saying this
because I have proofs to verify my statements. Dilip Kumar who always
prefered Rafi's voice in his earlier movies. When a song"Saala mein to
Sahab bun gya" was to be recorded, Dilip thought that Rafi might not be
able to handle this song because of so much variations and variety in this
song. Thus he gave this song to Kishore. to be continued

Vlkram Thakur on Thursday, June 28, 2012
Bandaal,
Kishore da and variations! Are you on dope or what? This particular song is the perfect example of his lack of voice modulations. Rafi sahab has put life into this song whereas Kishore da sings it flat. A lot of his songs sound so boring because of lack of variations.
You are trying to prove what Kishore da was not. Hari Om!

Vivek Sharma on Friday, July 06, 2012
Greatest voice ever,,,,no1 can compete with Rafi saaahb,,,,kishore da is
also good even very goood but Rafi saaahb has divine touch,,his voice
really calm u,,,till now only 1 singer has done some justice wid His songs
and i.e sonu nigam

what someone last in this page says rafisaab was the king and kishoreda was
the god have you lost your mind or you are ignorent listen to rafisaabs
ajare aa zaraa you think kishore could sing ike that rafi is uncomparable a
legend

MrSunny1947 on Friday, July 20, 2012
Friends Kishore and Rafi are two icons and legends in Hindi songs. Each had
his own style and both are unique. Kishore kumar had more voice modulations
but in some songs Rafisaab was unbeatable. In real life they were good
friends and admired each other. There will be no end of this impossible
comparison and endless discussion. So both fan club be happy and enjoy
their immortal creations which will live on even in next century.

MrSunny1947 on Friday, July 20, 2012
Thanks a lot my dear friend for your kind comment of appreciation. I have
great respect for both these legendary talents.

Rafi is guide, teacher of Indian playback as indian cinema had golden music era 1947-70 & Rafi made playback singing a passion he had versatility,Golden Voice,range,depth...he teach to world what is the playback singing, each emotion, each mood he sung so..why just 3 song of Aradhna bring Kishore against him as his competitor ? there is no comparison with Rafi one side he had 24yrs long career other hand Kishore has just three Aradhna songs...It was Rafi who taught the world about play back..

melodiousmeh on Saturday, July 28, 2012
Rafi is the real icon and mentor of Indian playback it was Rafi who made playback a passion & made it a star icon & bring playback equal to a star status at the level of Dilip, Raaj & dev Sahab and so we cant compare Rafi with Kishore who actually came to fame in 1969 but it was Rafi who made bollywood playback so famous, polish it,enhanced it given a shape to it & no example set of versatility playback bfore him Rafi sung classical, comic, sad, ghazal, qawwali, thumri, rock n roll, yippy & western

Sriprakash Dimri on Tuesday, July 31, 2012
Rafi can sing classical with such an sweet and authentic melodious voice
unmatched While kishore da has limitation upto certain modulation easy to
sing..classically Rafi Is Greatest male voice.

samcomposer on Monday, August 06, 2012
lol rafis fans wont get this but its true that kishorda's version was way
more popular than this.

Shawny Boni on Sunday, August 19, 2012
Being from Fiji, there are many strong reasons I cherish my Indianess,
Rafi's blessed music is the foremost among them.

Jagdesh Suxena on Wednesday, August 22, 2012
Sorry brother! If I agree to the statement that Kishore Kumar had more
voice modulations than Muhammad Rafi Sahab, then I do not understand
singing or music. Rafi was the best voice modulating singer India has ever
seen. KK was good but his voice was a bit too heavy-bassed not suitable for
youngsters which most of the heros potray in Films. Although I like kishore
too, but I can not beat the fact that Rafi was far far superior a singer.

मैं तो हिन्दी में ही लिखूंगा चाहे किसी के समझ में आये या नहीं मैं और लोगों
की तरह एक काल गर्ल को अपनी माँ के समकक्ष नहीं मानता.

neelt2001 on Saturday, September 01, 2012
I respectfully disagree. Listen to Hum Bolega To Bolege, Chhukar Mere Man
Ko, Jeevan Ki Bhagiya, Is Mod Se Jaate, Yeh Shaam Mastani & O Saathi Re
CONSECUTIVELY. If that's not voice modulation than what is? In each song,
KK has a different tone, different pitch and different diction.
Incidentally, there are people till this day who believe that Kishore Kumar
did not sing for Pran's part in Aake Seedhi Lagi because it sounds TOO MUCH
like Pran. THAT was the magic of his voice.

How could Shshi work with Aasha Parekh and help not falling in love with
her, I have a girl crush on her!

iamyourfriend007 on Wednesday, September 12, 2012
No friends, Rafi couldnt compete with Kishore kumar in the 70's and 80's.
Kishore was the GOD of music those days. No doubt kishore has sung this
song like a genius compared to rafi. The problem with rafi is that all his
songs sounds depressed and sad. Kishore has sung this song with much
feelings and romance but here rafi has sung this song in a sad and dull
style.

ishqvishk3726 on Wednesday, September 26, 2012
Two best things cannt b nevr evr compared!! Both of dm wer best in their own wazz!!

iamyourfriend007 on Saturday, September 29, 2012
kishore is the only singer in the world who can deliver natural feelings.
Maybe you have listen to only energetic and romantic songs of kishore.
There are many sad songs which kishore has sung and has made everybody cry.
One of the many examples is song Ari aaja nindiya tu le chal... from movie
kuwara baap. Even rafi couldnt beat kishore in that song. Rafi is superior
only in classical whereas kishore was a genius in all type of songs except
classical. He was born to rule the music world.

Rahul Mukherjee on Tuesday, October 02, 2012
I expected this type of reply. I posted this type of comment just to tell
every fan, rather of kishoreda or rafi sahab, that we can be fan of either
kishoreda, rafi sahab, or Talat Mehmood or Ghulam Ali etc but we should not
hurt anybody by saying he or she is the best. I also feel the same way you
felt after seeing my comments on Kishoreda. These evergreen artists are
diamonds of our country. They will not take birth again but they will
remain alive always in the heart of their fans.

Vlkram Thakur on Tuesday, October 02, 2012
Just enjoy the song. Rafi sahab has done this song in his unique style with subtle variations, and on the other hand Kishore da has also done full justice to the song in his own way. As far as Nafrat Ki Duniya is concerned, my friend it was rendered by Rafi sahab because Kishore da could not get it right. It's a fact which you can confirm with Pyarelal ji, the composer of the song.

iamyourfriend007 on Wednesday, October 03, 2012
Truth always hurt. Few people know that kishore was the MOST versatile and
talented singer in the WORLD. Rafi was best in classical ONLY. MUSIC DOES
NOT ONLY START WITH CLASSICAL AND ENDS WITH CLASSICAL.. Music is something
very vast which include romantic/sad songs, bhajan, sufi, classical, semi
classical, folk, kawali, pop, item song etc. Kishore was a genius in EVERY
style/type of songs EXCEPT pure classical. Rafi was best in classical ONLY.
Kishore sung with NATURAL feelings unlike Rafi.
