The story goes that Kalyan ji Anandji got Manhar, an extra singer then, to sing the part Mukesh ji was to sing later ... as was the practice then. But when Mukesh ji heard Manhar's version .. he refused to sing .. saying this boy has sung so well why don't you keep his voice in the song and Kalyanji Anandji had to agree ... rest is history .. the song was super hit !!
