The body cannot rise,
From eyes that bear the wait,
How does one endure,
When longing will not abate?

Certainty of their love,
Hope for their return,
When these two things exist,
Then spring in wait does burn.

My sighs, they find no ease,
My prayers, they go unheard,
My God, what shall I do,
Shameful the wait, the word.

A longing for their script,
A thought of their return,
How vast it spreads, this trade,
The endless wait, we learn.
