One, the sole essence, Truth His Name,
Creator, Person, Fearless, beyond blame.
Image timeless, unborn, self-created,
By Guru's grace, forever celebrated.

True in the beginning, true through the ages,
True He is, and shall be in all stages.
If thought could fathom, a million thoughts unfurled,
Still, His vastness remains, beyond this world.
If silence could capture, a lifetime's whispered prayer,
Still, the unspoken truth, beyond compare.
Though hunger may rage, with a world at your call,
The soul's deeper yearning, surpasses all.
A thousand wisdoms, like a single breath,
Cannot grasp the truth, beyond life and death.
How to become truthful, and break the chains of lies?
Walk in His will, O Nanak, this is the prize.
