Ten days He graced our homes, a guest among devotees,
The whole city rejoiced, the people danced with joy,
The people danced with joy, for Him, all humans dear,
Kings and paupers, all the same, all homes His dwelling place,
All equal in His sight, be it the rich man's towering hall,
Or our humble, poor man's hut, as Ganesha goes.
How can we find peace? Morya, our Bappa, Morya!

The playful east wind blows, a boat upon the waves,
Ganesha crosses over, taking all our love with Him,
Successful is our worship, no other day like this,
Dark clouds now gather high, the hour of parting nears.
