A single rain of separation, immense, it fell,
Then grew, expanded, a boundless swell.
A single rain of my heart's ache, so deep,
With ink of that hue, shadows did creep,
Black clouds, a black night, ascended and climbed,
A single rain of separation, entwined.

My tale of absence, a story vast and long,
Unwritten at first, where did I belong?
Then penned and consumed, read and reread,
Again and again, the words were fed.
Written and read, my sorrow's decree,
A single rain of separation, for me.
