Night's dark veil, a shadow of death, descends,
Hovering low, where mortal life suspends.
Yet Truth's bright flame, within my spirit, burns,
Unwavering still, as howling tempest churns.

Grant me courage, O Divine, I pray,
A child am I, lost along the way.
May my steps remain upon the path of grace,
Though trials immense, upon my soul, embrace.
For others' sake, I seek to disappear,
Through countless births, may this my purpose appear.
Grant me courage, O Divine, to hold fast,
That even my breath, with no complaint, be passed.
