cumrao on Sunday, August 16, 2009 I find it surprising that very few praises are showered on this superlative
song. A great composition superbly sung by lata, on par with the best songs
of C.Ramchandra like those of Anarkali, nirala, albela etc. The very name
Patanga evokes fond memories of my childhood, when whole country
reverberated with them, especially those of Shamshad and Chitalkar. Namaste
namste, Rangoonse bol raha, mohobbat karnewalon ne, Naya tamasha, oh
dilwala dilko lagana.Among the best musical films ever.
